Why don't you write an article of the build with every milestone of the progress for this site? First of all it's best having the owner/builder writing about his ride because he knows his ride best and second: you do an awesome work so share something great with others ;) I think dimi would also apreicate it. I love every time i meet a guy who not works on a car but also knows what he is doing.

Hey buddy where did you get your Apexi VCR2? I was looking for the Apexi RSM and bought it finally from http://andysautosport.com/ but I think they have damn high shipping costs. I usually purchase from www.nengun.com but they sell only the silver version. I was looking for the black one. Is there a special store you purchase your electronics and would share the link ;)

i actually got really lucky and found the AVCR2 sitting in a customer's eagle talon at the shop I'm currently working at.  he needed money to finish up his engine swap so he offered to sell it to me for really cheap.  I picked it up for $250. I also use andysautosport.com for some things, best place to find things in my personal experience would be internet forums.  you may have to pay a bit more for shipping but overall you can find whatever you need for cheap when someone decides to scrap a build.

Im pretty sure, if i remember correctly your rockin the honda... have you ever tried here?http://www.hondamarketplace.com/

I didn't read all of the posts that were made on this thread, so forgive me for staying on this threads main topic. It goes to show that Japanese sport cars are getting noticed due to their diligent observation of consumer wants. Porche is still a very cool car to get if you want to get one, but the Japanese power houses are making a charge at the front gates of European elites and it bothers them much as it bothered a lot of the muscle car crowd here in the States. Little be little, though, the Japanese monsters are showing their status as true muscle cars, too. Just look into www.hotrod.com and find the late 60s Camaro with the 2JZ swpa in it. I like it. Let's see how many European like it as well. LOL! LONG LIVE CODEJDM!

damn maybe I will never get a fan of hotrods but the Dodge Charger and the Pontiac Firebords have something I cant explain. :)

As I said I live in Stuttgart Germany the hometown of Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Porsches are nothing special to me since they are driven here like Hondas in Tokyo. I still am disappointed that a company like Porsche needs to trashtalk about Nissan. They maybe had have everyone on the cards but Nissan, so I understand that it hurts them so much that a "japanese underdog" managed to produce such a great car. It's not ok in my eyes since nissan proved with the live video the times. The thing that hurts them most I think is that the GT-R costs half the money that the 911 turbo costs with same tec stats and same/better driving abilities on the Ring. Why do the behave so strange. Rich people will still buy a 911 instead of a GT-R just to show its a Porsche (no matter if sucks or not).
Porsche is still a name in sportscars and they build great cars (I think the last 10 years they just improved the 911 so it should be worth the 140k € lol) so no reason for fucking on Nissan.

I can relate to that feeling as well. Here in the United States there is the car lover and the car enthusiast. The enthusiast likes all cars and those people are much like us, the import tuner. The car lover only likes his brand or country of origin cars, much like most Americans and their feverish love of Fords, GMCs and Chrysler products. They are the HARDCORE, MUSCLE CAR loving, wont try some thing new, because it goes against what they've grown up being used to. There are those types of people every where. The only difference is in the types of cars that they are loyal to. Make that one more thing that is like water on a ducks back, bud. It doesn't matter. We know what makes us happy. Right? LOL! Let them see what it is that makes them less cool on their own. LOL! It's our world, for now.

Hello I found this thread while searching through google and took the time to read this thread. I'm a german car lover and so I'm everytime impressed a german manufacturer releases a new model. Now as i first heard of the Porsche vs Nissan discussion I couldn't believe it. This is not a professional behaviour. People please don't forget: An engineer said all that about Nissan with cheating. Although it was the chief engineer of the 911 he still is only an engineer. People forget often that 12 years ago Porsche insolvent. So Wiedekind (the CEO of Porsche) went to Japan and Toyota allowed him to view their production process. Wiedeking asked for help and because Toyotas CEO's didn't see Porsche (a bancrupt company) as competitors they helped them with their kaizen philosophy.
So if today someone of Porsche sais something bad about japanese companies than please keep in mind that Porsche works "japanese way" otherwise they would have gone bancrupt. so don't weight the words of a "simple" engineer. As someone else here said: Porsche is developing for over 10 years on the 911. They still feel hurt that a new model of Japanese manufacturer make their flagship look like toy.
