Hey TURBOZ32, I think that the RB26DET swap is a better engine for the money. The amount of things that can be done to get 1000hp out of one is great. How much you want to spend determines that amount of horse power. I've been to sites that show case 800 to 1100hp RB26DET engines and that's nothing to sneaze at. I have an 87 Nissan 200sx, s12 chassis that will be getting such a monster. Not any time soon, though, coin is tight right now. The other project involves my 97 Toyota Rav4. It's not related, but since it involves swapping engines, I thought I'de share my thoughts on the subject. LOL! You are on the right track to making a monster, though. A RB26DET would fit right in, just make sure to compare the trans codes on the plaque that's on the drivers side fire wall, near the brake booster, to what you want to use as a drive line source. I did that for my 200sx and I found a transmission that will work to handle the power that I'm planning to have it handle. The only thing I needed to do was swap out the bell housing as the new trans came from a smashed V6 powered, "88" 300Z. My s12 came with the ca20e 4 banger. LOL! Much luck in you endeavors, though. It's cool to see you here as well. I'm a nooby to the site. Funny, huh? LOL!
