As far as I know selling of the GT-R in USA started already? Release date in Europe is march 2009? Am I right? Will take some time since we will see this baby on the streets? UK already start shipping by now but don't nail me on that

The sale  of the GT-R is close at hand here in the States. I've seen two since the initial commercials. The same comments that you guys are making between the Porche and the GT-R are being made here with the GT-R and the GT500KR Mustang. And, they both cost about the same here, about $70 to $80K, depending on the State and sales taxes. In My State of Connecticut, they adopted the gas guzzler tax for cars like the GT500KR and the GT-R. You have to have some coin to own them, that's for sure.
Porche is Porche and the name is synonomous with speed. It always has been. It is in a leage of its own, to some respect, but if you can get the same amount of bang for less coin out of a GT-R, then Porche needs to make a faster car so that it keeps its prestige. The GT-R does cater to a certain crowd, as it was mentioned in an earlier post, but you like what you like and any of the three monsters that I've spoken about would suite me nice. LOL! Money pending, of course. I'm not prejudice. LOL!
